Woman suffers facial injuries in Hastings town centre assault

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman suffered facial injuries in an incident in Hastings town centre.

Police said between 9.30pm and 9.45pm on Thursday (June 25), the 28-year-old woman was assaulted in Queens Road, Hastings, near the money shop and Erol’s kebab shop.

A man aged 38 was arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm, according to police, and after being interviewed was released on police bail until July 23 while enquiries continue.

Detective Constable Jay Fair said; “If you witnessed this incident or saw anything else that would help our investigation around this time in the area, please contact us, either online by calling 101 quoting serial 1728 of 25/06.”

The two people involved are known to each other, police said.
