Woman 'threatened with a knife' outside Worthing Tesco store

According to police, officers received report of a woman being threatened with a knife by another woman outside Tesco in Chapel Road at 2pm on Saturday (August 1).

A 30-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault by beating and making threats with intent to cause fear or provoke unlawful violence and bailed while enquiries are ongoing.

It is understood that the suspect and victim are known to each other, police said.

Constable Sean Trebble said: "We are investigating this matter as threats are alleged to have been made to the victim who has been left shaken.
