Residents at Worthing Homes reported receiving texts saying their home would be repossessed the following day.

Suzanne Newman, a spokesperson for Worthing Homes, said the scam had been spotted all over the UK and was not unique to Worthing Homes.

The text claimed the repossession was following ‘previous correspondance’.

“Please do not follow any instructions that may be on there and delete the message,” a spokesperson for Worthing Homes advised residents on their Facebook Page.

“An official WH text, from our number 07425 428 428, has been sent out advising the same,” they added.
