Young people are being urged not to trespass in Eastbourne skateparks, which are currently closed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

It is understood groups of children and teenagers have been breaking into the new skatepark near the Sovereign Centre swimming pool during the lockdown.

All council skateparks are currently closed until further notice after the government told people to stay at home to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.

A spokesperson for Eastbourne Borough Council said, “All council skateparks are closed until further notice and any access to them is trespass and may result in enforcement action being taken against those responsible.

“It is imperative that everyone, young and old, follows the government advice of staying at home.”
