Youths sought after spate of burglaries in Hove

Police investigating a series of burglaries and attempted burglaries in Hove have released CCTV images of two youths they would like to speak to.

Elliott’s Estate Agents in Queens Parade, was broken into at about 5.30am on August 24, police said. An iPad Mini and a black leather briefcase were stolen, however the case was later found dumped nearby.

A flat in Wayfield Avenue was also burgled at about 6am on the same day, and a Toshiba laptop and speakers were taken, according to police.

There was also two attempted break-ins nearby at houses in Holmes Avenue at around 6.30am.

Police said one of the suspects was white, aged about 15 or 16 and was wearing a dark blue hooded coat with a yellow emblem on it, black trousers, white trainers and carrying a rucksack on his back.

The other suspect was also aged about 15 or 16, had black hair, was wearing glasses, a black hooded top, black trousers with a white stripe down each leg and carrying a large black satchel style bag.

Detective Constable James Botting said: “We are linking these burglaries and attempted burglaries which all happened in the same area at a similar time. We would like to hear from anyone who recognises the youths in the CCTV images or has any information about these incidents. Please get in touch.”
