Crossings go-ahead

Crossing a busy Bognor Regis road is to be made safer for pedestrians.

West Sussex County Council is to install a crossing phase into the traffic lights at the junction of Aldwick Road, Victoria Drive and Park Road.

The work will be carried out in the next year and cost 123,000.

It is among the works programme of the council's highways department until the end of next March.

A long-awaited zebra crossing is also envisaged for Elmer Road, near Harefield Road, in Middleton, during the same period.
