Crowborough man charged with attempted murder

Harry Leitch, who is unemployed and from Sussex View Close, appeared in custody at Brighton Magistrates Court on March 25, charged with the attempted murder of a 39-year-old man at that address on March 23, police say.

According to police, the victim sustained several stabbing injuries and was airlifted to hospital in London where he is in a serious but stable condition.

Polce say Leitch was remanded in custody for an initial appearance at Lewes Crown Court on April 22. A 37-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and causing grievous bodily harm was interviewed and released on police bail until April 21.
