Cuckfield Evening WI's: February meeting was well-attended. The ladies all thoroughly enjoyed hearing Neil Sadler giving his humorous talk on canal boating. Janine Watts will be organising theatre trips to the Hawth Theatre, Evelyn Stenning has organised a pottery painting class and there are more members of the Book Group. The stall at the Cuckoo Fair will be a Bottle Tombola. The next meeting will be on Tuesday March 15th at 7:45pm in the Old School when we will hear about a Polish childhood. Irish Night: in The Wheatsheaf Inn, Cuckfield. Are you from the Emerald Isle? If so, you cannot miss the celebrations, on Thursday March 17th, 7.30pm onwards. . Stand up comedy with Bob Bayliss. Music from Jim Harmey and his merry musicians. All your favourite Irish songs, including Danny Boy; Wild Rover; Galway Bay, and Whiskey in the Jar. Free admission. There will be a whiskey raffle to raise funds for the Chill Ecumenical Youth group which meets at the Methodist Hall, Haywards Heath on Wednesday evenings. PS Other nationalities welcome, including Scots, Welsh, English and Aussies.

The Crucifixion: John Stainer’s musical devotion, will be performed on Palm Sunday, 20th March at 6.00pm in Holy Trinity Church, Cuckfield. This performance will take the place of Evensong. All are welcome.
