Cuckfield Evening WI: The cold weather did not deter eight visitors from attending The January meeting, where they were given a warm welcome by Evelyn Stenning, the President. The speaker was Rupert Matthews who gave a talk on “ Ghosts of West Sussex”, introducing a local ghost ( The Grey Lady in Ockenden Manor) . Sandra thanked him for his animated, spooky talk . Afterwards, Evelyn asked the members if they had enjoyed the Christmas entertainment , which they had. The competition was won by Marion Davison. The next meeting is on February 16th at 7:45 in the Old School. The Speaker will be Neil Sadler talking about boats. Visitors welcome. Please contact Marion Davison on 01444 455939 for further details.
