Customer of more than 80 years marks Horsham bank revamp

A Brooks Green customer of Lloyds bank for more than 80 years cut the ribbon for the bank’s relaunch in Horsham on Monday (September 23).

John Taylor of Jockeys, Brooks Green, a former town and county councillor, was eight-years-old when he was taken by his father to one of the banks’s branches in Essex in 1932.

He marked the official re-opening of the town’s Lloyds revamp, following the company’s name change.

Leanne Imrie, of the bank, said: “We had lots going on during Monday’s event and both staff and customers had a good day and we would like to say thank you to all the customers who use the branch and to those who have had accounts with us for a long time.”
