Cyclist airlifted after Emsworth accident

A woman cyclist had to be airlifted to hospital after she was in collision with a car.

The accident happened in Havant Road after the cyclist turned out of Record Road, Emsworth, last Saturday at 11am.

The woman, believed to be in her 40s, was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth. She suffered a fractured ankle, jaw and pelvis.

Firefighters had to use special equipment to free her from under the car. Anyone with information should call police on 0845 045 45 45.
