Cyclist airlifted to hospital with ‘multiple serious injuries’ after Hailsham collision

A cyclist suffered ‘multiple serious injuries’ following a collision with a van in Hailsham on Saturday, police have confirmed.

The cyclist, a man in his 60s, suffered multiple serious injuries and was airlifted to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, police said.

The driver of the van was uninjured and the road remained closed until 6.30pm.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
