Cyclist injured in crash

A cyclist was taken to hospital following a crash involving a Battle motorist on Monday.

The 40-year-old male cyclist from the Netherlands collided with a Ford Transit Tipper, being driven by a 23-year-old Battle man, on Watermill Lane, Bexhill at around 8am.

The cyclist sustained lacerations to his head and arms and was taken to the Conquest Hospital in Hastings with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.

The driver of the Ford was uninjured in the collision.

The injured cyclist was later discharged from hospital.
