Cyclists raise cash for charity

NINE cyclists, one support driver, 170 miles, eight hotels and three days.

That was the journey of the riders who cycled into the Hilton Avisford Park Hotel in Walberton.

Their exertions in the saddle during the Hilton Tour de Cluster have raised more than £1,000 for the Hilton in the Community Foundation.

Natalie Pollard, reception senior shift leader, said they were greeted by balloons, bacon rolls and at least a dozen colleagues.

“Once the cyclists had been fed and watered they did a victory lap around the fountain for pictures and then they were off to the Hilton Croydon,” she said.

Ali Watrous, Petar Petrov and Emily Whithead from the hotel and Alison Dawson, Jayne Robson, Mark Berridge, Jordan Richards, David Plunkett and Sam Baines from the Hilton Bracknell were touring the company’s hotels in the south east.
