D-day approaches for Ford eco-town
Central government will publish a report that will outline which locations across the country it will support, and both sides are poised to find out if Ford is one of them.
Chairman of pressure group Communities Against Ford Eco-town (CAFE), Vicky Newman, has vowed to fight on, should it be given the go ahead.

The argument has been raging for more than 18 months, since Ford airfield was selected by government as a site for up to 5,000 new homes.
Promoters of the project, the Ford Airfield Vision Group, have said that the eco-town was a fantastic opportunity which could address issues such as affordable homes, the provision of skilled well paid jobs, and climate change.
CAFE, though, see the programme, which would include developing greenfield sites surrounding the airfield, as unsustainable.
