Dad saves baby in fire drama

A WORTHING family say a friend's smoke alarm may have saved their son's life after it alerted them to a kitchen fire that broke out on Monday afternoon.

Five-month-old Eoin Robertson was asleep in an upstairs bedroom of a house in Barrington Close, Goring, when the alarm was set off by a small cooker fire.

Because of the early warning, dad Andrew was able to run into the house before the fire got too big and snatched his son from his bed as the room was filling with smoke.
