Dad to expose toes for five-day challenge

A FATHER is freeing his feet by ditching his socks and shoes for five days in aid of a children’s charity.

From the moment he opens his eyes on Monday morning, Mark Baumfield, 28, of Somerset Close, Tarring, will live his life barefoot to raise money for Banardo’s.

Mark, general manager of Gochers Laundry Ltd at Shoreham Airport, admits to being a ‘bit of a clean freak’ and said the challenge would be a struggle.

“It’s going to be painful walking around our factory, along the streets and on stones. Also people looking at me like ‘what’s he doing?’. I will struggle with that.”
