Dalek and K9 to drop in for Dr Who showing


A special showing of the 1965 film Dr Who and the Daleks will be at Hailsham Pavilion, the Hailsham Old Pavilion Society (HOPS), has announced.

There will be one showing of the film only at Hailsham Pavilion on February 13 at 7.45pm.

It is the 50th anniversary of the first Dr Who movie and the film has now been digitally enhanced.

A spokesman for the pavilion said: “We are also pleased to announce that we shall also be visited by a real full size working Dalek and Dr Who’s trusty companion K9.

“Come along and have your photo taken with these authentic characters before the film.”

Tickets are priced at £7 for adults and £5.50 for concessions.

There is a 10 per cent discount for HOPS members.

The spokesman added: “Tickets are limited and expected to go fast.

“Please ensure you book in advance to avoid disappointment.”
