Date announced for Battle by-election

Rother District Council has announced that a by-election for the Battle Town Ward will take place on July 16.

The election was called after the previous ward councillor was forced to stand down due to ill-health, after just three weeks in the role.

Nomination papers must be delivered to Rother’s returning officer by 4pm on Friday June 19.
