Dave leaves 73a

Staff and service users of 73a Centre in London Road said goodbye to manager Dave Harris by throwing him a party.

Dave had worked at 73a Centre for 18 years and news of his departure was a shock to many of those who had spent time with him there.

He is going on to work as strategic service manager for the South of England Advocacy Project in Robertson Street, in Hastings.

Dave said: "I have accepted this new job so this is amazing timing. This has been a really positive day - I can't say enough about the support of Tom Gourlay and the team - they have been so supportive.

"I can't say anything but positive things."

His position at 73a was made redundant, but Dave commented: "It's one of those things - it is happening up and down the country, so it's not a big deal. It happens in employment. But the service will go from strength to strength and the rest of the team remains intact."
