First photos of the infamous Lewes Bonfire tableaux are starting to appear on social media this morning (Thursday, November 5).
Each of the town’s six bonfire societies create a grand, realistic tableau, usually depicting a controversial figure who has made the news that year.
The tableaux, which are marched through the streets of Lewes before being blown up at the end of the night, are kept top secret in the lead-up to the event. However, a couple have already been leaked on social media by members of the public as the they’ve been transported into the town centre ready for the big night.
So far, a 20ft tableau of Sepp Blatter has been spotted, with a sign saying ‘THIEFA’. The Fifa president is currently suspended from his position while he is being investigated over corruption allegations.
A photo of what appears to be David Cameron with a pig’s head has also been posted on Twitter this morning.
