David McAlmont to sing at De La Warr Pavilion

In what is billed as an "electric collaboration," the exquisite voice of David McAlamont will be the vehicle for the soaring melodies of Michael Nyman at the pavilion on Friday, January 23.

Michael Nyman is one of the UK's most prestigious and innovative composers.

His work has reached its widest audience through his film scores. These include The Piano, The Draughtsman's Contract and Man On Wire.

David McAlmont has enthralled soul and jazz fans both as a solo artist and as one half of the duo McAlmont and Butler, who had the top ten single, Yes, in 1994.

Previously unseen video and film works by Michael Nyman will be showing at the pavilion from Saturday, January 24.
