Day-light burglary in Wick

COMMEMORATIVE coins and notes, some of which are not even legal tender, were taken during a burglary in Wick on Friday (January 29).

Thieves got into the Toddington Lane home between 2pm and 4.30pm, by forcing their way through rear patio doors.

An original 1st edition Queen Elizabeth era 50 note, a Victorian silver crown coin, five commemorative 5 coins, including one marked with a Concorde, and five old-style 2 coins, were taken.
