Day of basketballto help youngster

Every year SE Tigers hold a charity basketball tournament '˜Ball 4 Life' to raise funds for a good cause and this year, Tigers head coach Hung Li says it was an obvious choice when local charity '˜Help Leo Walk' asked the Tigers to help raise money for Hastings youngster Leo Leyland.

Leo suffered a pre-birth brain haemorrhage and was diagnosed with Hemiplegia on his left side, a form of cerebral palsy, and high muscle tone in the affected side.

To help with Leo’s medical expenses for a life-changing operation in America, estimated to cost around £70,000, the Tigers are staging a whole day of basketball competition for anyone who wants to attend.

The event will be held at Bexhill college. Penland road, Bexhill on Sunday July 10.

Hung Li says they are hoping the event will be well attended and raise a ton of cash for Leo. “We are looking for sponsorship from local businesses.” he said. “We would love a big turnout. Even if you don’t want to play come down show your support and watch some basketball.

“It will be fun!

“We are also looking for some much needed raffle prizes, so please let us know if you are able to help.
