Day of family fun on offer in Felpham

All ages will be welcome to take part in activities from archery to trampolining between 10am and 4pm on June 9 at the Arun Leisure Centre. One of the highlights of the day will be the 3km Run for the Children at 11am where parents and youngsters will be welcome.

Most of the enjoyment will be free. Bouncy castles, sports coaching sessions, fitness challenges, aquafun, football with Brighton and Hove Albion FC and judo are among the options on offer for an active day.

An eight metre climbing wall will give novices and experienced individuals alike the chance to get off the ground.

The day is being held by the centre's operator, Inspire Leisure. A spokesman said: 'Activities will take place both inside and outside. So, the day is worth a visit whatever the weather.

'The event is a great opportunity for people to find out about leading a healthy lifestyle and leisure activities available within the area. Local clubs will also be at the event offering interactive sessions throughout the day.'

Lloyds Pharmacy is sponsoring the event. Its health zone will offer free diabetes or blood pressure tests as well as healthcare advice and offers on various health products.

Also on show will be healthy eating advice and smoothie making demonstrations.
