Daylight robbery in Littlehampton alleyway

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 20-year-old Littlehampton was attacked and robbed in a town centre alleyway.

The victim was walking along an alleyway leading from Franciscan Way to Howard Road in the town between 10am and 11am last Tuesday (April 9), on his way home after taking money out of the cash machine at the back of Sainsbury’s, when he was punched in his left eye, resulting in a black eye.

He is believed to be have been briefly knocked unconscious.

His wallet, containing cash, was stolen.

Inquiries are being led by Det Con Jenni Hutchinson, who asks any witnesses to call 101, quoting serial 1205 of 6/4, or to call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
