Daytime theft inside Littlehampton church

CASH, keys and a mobile phone were stolen from a church in broad daylight.

It happened at the Littlehampton United Church, in High Street, at about 9.20am on Saturday (March 6) while the church was open.

The phone, a Nokia, and keys were taken from a jacket pocket. The keys, which were later found outside the NatWest bank, also in High Street, were used to open a safe in the office, About 50 was taken.

A man, described as aged between 17 and 19, 5ft 6in tall, with a dumpy build, short, light-coloured hair and wearing a grey hooded top with a zip, was seen entering the building at about the time of the burglary.
