Dazzling Displays

PUPILS from Littlehampton Community School wowed audiences with a dazzling showcase of music, drama and dance for the school's arts festival last week.

It was clear that a great deal of time and effort had gone into making costumes, as well as rehearsing for the big night, and pupils definitely pulled out the stops and gave their all.

The festival was essentially an inter-house competition, featuring a wealth of talent from pupils in years seven to 11.

An all-female act dressed to the nines as the seven sins were a definite hit with the audience and they certainly didn't make the judges' jobs any easier.

But, no matter how talented everyone is, there still has to be a winner.

And it was superb 15 year olds Matthew Smith and Simon Sladen and 14-year-old Sandie Sladen from Rackham House who were the victorious on both nights.

The three youngsters starred in Would You Adam And Eve It a sketch Matthew wrote himself.

He said: "I thought it went extremely well, and we were so pleased we won."

The pupils were delighted to be presented with a trophy and certificates for their efforts.
