Debbie's ghostly tale is in print

A Middleton mother-of-four has become a ghost writer for her first book.

Debbie Thomas penned The Moonstone Tower about an added dimension to life after death. She describes it as James Bond meets Ghost Busters with a nod to Dennis Wheatley along the way.

Its 153 pages and 45,000 words concern the activities of the Moonstone family who are based in the tower and is aimed at ten to 14-year-olds.

Stephen Moonstone (14), believes in ghosts. He sees them every day and he can travel to the secret and invisible world of the dead, known as the fourth dimension.

He has to track down a spirit of pure evil.

Debbie (49), of Silver-birch Drive, said: 'It's highly satisfying to see my first book in print but it's nerve-wracking as well wondering if people will want to buy it.'

The Moonstone Tower is intended to be the first of a trilogy. Debbie has started work on the follow-up. Called Dannia '“ Beyond The Gate, it will be ready around Easter 2008.
