The Littlehampton Town Ward and District Neighbourhood Watch Association was presented £4,318 as part of the Sussex police and crime commissioner’s Safer in Sussex community fund.

Mike Cullern, chairman of the neighbourhood watch, said the group was ‘delighted’ to have been awarded the grant, adding it will help to fund and expand its successful junior neighbourhood watch school club.

Police and crime commissioner Katy Bourne said the junior neighbourhood watch scheme was a ‘great example of an innovative local project’.
