Delivery for Little Angels

It's the delivery they were hoping for - a load of bark for their outdoor play area.

Little Angels playgroup in Sidley received this donation from the Build Centre in Beeching Road which will mean children can enjoy playing outdoors in safety.

Zoe Prett, committee member of Little Angels, said: "Last year the Build centre donated bark and this year they came up trumps again with another bag for us. It makes the play area safer for the children because it makes it nice and level.

"It helps create a good outdoor space again and has refreshed it for us.

"We were there with our shovels and wheelbarrow - the committee members were thrilled and it was exciting for the children to have their play area all freshened up. We were all eagerly awaiting it...but it would be a lot to come out of funds when we are always trying to fundraise."

Little Angels, which is based at All Saints church hall, is always keen to receive donations of items which local businesses, groups or individuals might no longer need.

"We'll take anything really," said Zoe.

"People might get regular offcuts of paper that they don't need, or other bits and pieces that could we could have to be used by the playgroup. There are quite a lot of businesses that have leftover bits which they might throw in the bin, but maybe we could use them. One person's junk is someone else's treasure, and it would be handy to have.

"We will come and pick anything up - contact Little Angels playgroup on 0753818387."

There are places available at Little Angels from September - the playgroup runs from 9-12.30pm every weekday morning, and accepts children from age two and a half.

"It is a lovely homely playgroup," Zoe commented.

"It is very welcoming. The staff there are all mums, and I think it gives you confidence as a mum to know that."
