The Demelza James service, started as James House by Robin and Mary Gooch after the death of their son James, has grown in strength since its merger with Demelza House two years ago and now provides care and support for over 100 children and families.

In thier area a Demelza James children's nurse will go directly into the family home and provide respite care, therapies and an on-call service.

James Hanaway, Head of Fundraising at Demelza said:

"The Demelza James service is vital to the families that use it. It can allow parents of life-limited children, who can be under a huge amount of strain, to take a break, recharge their batteries or just be mum and dad to their children."

The roadshow takes place from 10am to 5pm and isintended to raise awareness of the service in the areas where it is delivered and to highlight the need for fundraising, volunteers and friends groups needed to keep it running and will take place outside the Priory Meadow Shopping Centre on Monday 20th.
