A number of dementia awareness days have been organised, including one at Steyning Library on Wednesday, from 10.30am to 1pm.

Information will be available about support for people affected by dementia and a representative from the Alzheimer’s Society will be on hand to talk to people with dementia and their carers.

People can also learn more about the new memory management library ticket, which makes it easier for people with memory problems to use the library.

It ensures people with dementia or memory problems are not charged late fees if they forget to return items on time.

At Worthing Library on Monday, 10am to 3pm, information will be available about range of local services connected with dementia, including health, support for carers and safety in the home.

Organisations involved include the Prevention and Assessment Team, West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, Guild Care and New Tyne Resource Centre.
