Work on the demolition of the two halls, that were built in the 1980s, will take up to five weeks.

The halls, that were used for exhibitions, conferences and the annual Eastbourne Beer Festival, are no longer needed because of the brand new conference facilities being built as part of the new Devonshire Quarter development.

Work on the new practice courts will begin in January 2019 so they are ready in time for the town’s international tennis tournament in June.
