Developer may appeal over flats plan
OPPOSITION to a sheltgered housing flat scheme for the over-60's in Rustington could have lost a valuable community resource, as well as a significant investment for the area, developers have warned.
Charity Saxon Weald Homes has indicated it could lodge an appeal against Arun District Council's refusal to allow the development in the Station Road area.
Clive Parker, director of older people's services for Saxon Weald said: " We are severely disappointed. We had full planning officer support, as well as support of the county council and other agencies and had already amended the design to take account of local views."
