Devonshire staff attacked
Two doormen at the Devonshire bar and lounge were assaulted by a customer on Saturday night.
One of them was hit with a champagne bottle and the other kicked as he tried to detain the offender.
The incident happened at around 10.15pm when they asked the man to leave because of aggressive behaviour to other people in the town centre bar. The doorman who was struck by the bottle received injury to his head.
A 34 year old man from St Leonards has been charged with assault and will appear at Hastings Magistrates court on Monday. Witnesses should call 101 quoting serial 1966 of 28/7.
