Did you see car in ditch in Winchelsea?

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car crashed into a ditch in Winchelsea.

At about 4.50pm on Saturday (June 20) officers were called to Pett Level Road after a red Toyota Celica drove into a ditch next to the road.

The vehicle had been recovered from the ditch by local helpers before the officers arrived.

Jelena Trubicyna, 34, of St Fillans Road, London, has been charged with being drunk in charge of a vehicle. She was released on bail to appear at Hastings Magistrates’ Court on July 22.

Response investigator George Szczotok said: “I am keen to speak to anyone who saw the Toyota being driven before it went off the road, who saw it going into the ditch or who helped to get the vehicle out of the ditch.

“If you saw it being driven at any point, please contact us.”
