A new dining concept serving up the best of British food in St Leonards has created 25 new jobs in the town.
Decks at Tesco Extra on Church Wood Drive, St Leonards, was due to open its three new eating ‘decks’ today (September 26) offering fresh food 12 hours a day.
The restaurant aims to offer people a convenient and comfortable way to eat before or after work or shopping at their own pace in a pleasant environment.
Decks Hastings general manager, Elizabeth Martyn, said: “Decks Hastings celebrates the best of British cooking and embodies the simplicity, warmth and authenticity of it.
“It seeks to satisfy our renewed interest in our own produce as well as the rejuvenation of quintessentially British eating customs – specifically the full English breakfast, the Sunday roast and tea for two.”
Diners can see all of the menu options and ingredients and find out how they’re prepared and where they come from.
The Decks branch is the 10th Decks restaurant to open in Tesco stores nationwide.
Elizabeth thinks St Leonards diners will be impressed by the service. “We like what we do, we’re interested in our customers and we’re keen to satisfy them,” she added.
