LOCAL man Roy Brennan has raised £2,000 to buy a specialist golf buggy for the Handigolf Fondation. It will be handed to the charity for use at Headley Court in Surrey where wheelchair bound troops use golf as part of their rehabilitation.

The handover takes place at The East Sussex National Golf Centre on Friday, August 24 at the start of the Disabled British Open Golf Championship weekend.

Leading Handigolfers incuding national champion Phil Meadows will receive the buggy and hand it to soldiers Andrew Carlton and Paul Swain who are being rehabilitated at Headley Court. They will play at the weekend and skills will be a revelation to all. The competition will be covered on Sky Sports.
