WEALDEN TOURISM BUSINESSES have offered visitors discounted admission prices to popular attractions and deals on local accommodation for Celebrate English Tourism Week, from March 10 to 18.
Enjoy Sussex has teamed up with Wealden District Council to promote the many beautiful sights and sounds, and attractions in the region.
Visitors can take advantage of the offers by visiting websites (www.enjoysussex.info or www.wealden.gov.uk) and print out vouchers. Then take them to the advertised venue.
Dates vary, but offers take place around English Tourism Week which includes Mother’s Day Weekend, March 17 to 18.
Wealden District Cllr Roy Galley said: “2012 is going to be a great year for visiting our countryside.
“These special offers suit a wide range of tastes and pockets.
“It is a welcome opportunity for people living locally to take family and friends out to enjoy some of the fantastic attractions on their doorstep.”
There are many different offers - at some places it’s two for one, others are offering reduced accommodation rates, free refreshments or children go free.
Participating attractions include: Ashdown Forest Llama Park, The Observatory Science Centre, Herstmonceux; the Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club, Yesterday’s World, Perryhill Orchards and Wilderness Wood. Accommodation providers include the Brambletye Hotel, Forest Row; The Star Inn, Alfriston; The Treacle Mine Premier Inn, Polegate; Danny Cottage, Alfriston; Wimbles Farm, Heathfield; Fair Oak Farm, Mayfield and Hollambys, Groombridge.
