Diverse works by Newhaven Art Club to be unveiled at show

Locally produced art work will be on show and available to buy at Newhaven Art Club’s annual exhibition.

It will be held in the Anzac Room at Peacehaven Meridian Centre from Tuesday November 20 to Saturday November 24 from 10am until 5pm daily.

Newhaven Art Club secretary Vicky Blann said: “We have a broad standard of artists in our club and they work with a large range of materials – watercolours, acrylics, oils, pastels, pencils and charcoal.

“The selection of work displayed reflects the diversity of interests and skills within the club.

“As well as a large display of artwork, there will be greeting cards for sale at reasonable prices.

“You might also like to have a try at winning our raffle.”

Stewards will be on duty during the week and will be happy to answer questions, as well as tell you more about the club.

Newhaven Art Club has a long tradition and has been running for more than 50 years.

It has now changed its meeting place and will be meeting at Peacehaven Evangelical Church, in Mayfield Avenue, Peacehaven, from Monday November 5.

The club meets on Monday afternoons, from 2pm until 4pm.

It includes experienced artists and those who are new to painting from around Seahaven.
