Some of this week’s volunteer vacancies:

Ford Prison is looking for an active, imaginative volunteer to supervise and entertain children visiting the site.

Activities include playing with toys and using craft materials. Visits are on Sunday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 2pm to 4pm. Volunteers should expect to spend about three hours at the prison, during their session.

Applicants can commit to one or more sessions, ideally once a fortnight.

Social enterprise dizzy would like to recruit someone to help with daily goings-on at its Rustington fund-raising shop.

Applicants would be sorting through donated goods, as well as arranging them on the shop floor and dealing with transactions with customers. Help is needed from Monday to Friday, between 10am and 4pm.

Littlehampton’s Citizens Advice Bureau is seeking someone to become a receptionist.

Applicants should have strong administrative and interpersonal skills, as they will be greeting and dealing with clients visiting the bureau.

The volunteer would be covering in shifts from 9am to noon, on Monday and Friday, 9am to 4pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and 9am to 7pm on Thursdays. The minimum shift is three hours.

St Barnabas House hospice is seeking someone to give up a few hours of their time to help its charity shop. Tasks include cleaning, using the store’s steam press to prepare donated clothing as well as assisting customers to the shop, too.

Arun Counselling Centre is seeking a receptionist/administrative assistant for its base in Littlehampton, on Wednesdays. Scope is looking for a shop assistant to work on Wednesdays, too.
