Dog bites woman on Bexhill seafront

The incident, which took place just before 5.30pm on Monday September 20, occurred near the beach huts on South Parade opposite Richmond Avenue.

Police received a 999 call from the woman.

She was out walking her own dog along the seafront when she was bitten by what she described as a small black border collie type dog which was not on a lead, and suffered puncture wounds to her skin.

Police are keen to find the owner of the dog, described as a white lady, in her early 60s, heavily built, wearing a grey woolly hat with her hair tucked into the hat.

She had on blue leggings and a thigh length, fleecy coat, colour unknown.

In recent weeks there have been a number of dog attacks in the local area and this is the second reported attack by an unleashed dog along Bexhill Seafront.
