PC Michael Dunn says: "Her dog was unharmed but a conversation took place between herself and the other owner, and she advised this male to put his dogs back on the lead.

"The man later approached her in the car park at Pear Tree Lane and headbutted her and verbally abused her in front of other people.

"He is described as being in his mid 30s, about six feet tall with a slim build. He had short fair hair and wore a grey T-shirt and blue shorts and drove away from the area in a Silver Toyota Rav 4."

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact PC Dunn at Bexhill Police Station on 0845 6070999, quoting serial 782 of August 31.
