Dogs bring delight to nursing home residents

This year the home's annual novelty dog show was in aid of Pets As Therapy and the Cinnamon Trust '“ which provides a dog-walking service for pet-owners who have to go into hospital.

Nursing home manager Alison Sowerby said that at more than 50 entries the show was better supported that ever.

The spectating residents, some in wheelchairs, had plenty of pets to cuddle and pat '“ from Alsatians to lap-dogs.

For the judges from Pets As Therapy there was a formidable amount of work to do in choosing the Best Sporting Breed, Best Non-Sporting Breed, Best Dog From The Bexhill Neighbourhood and - most challenging of all - The Dog Most Like Their Owner.
