Dome settlement

A PROJECTIONIST unfairly sacked by Worthing's historic Dome cinema has accepted £1,500 compensation from her former bosses.

Lucy Weston was offered the settlement on Wednesday, hours before the parties were due to attend a compensation hearing after a tribunal upheld her case for unfair dismissal against manager Belle Stennett.

The-28-year-old, formerly of Broadwater Road, Worthing, lost her job and photography business when she was sacked at a disciplinary hearing following a row with Mrs Stennett's son James, a supervisor.

The settlement represents around three months' wages.

She said: "It has been a really important victory. This was never about the money, it was about the principle. I lost my job and my business and was left with nothing. It has been a really traumatic time."
