He decided to become a professional wrestler as a teenager and bulked up to the 20 stones he is now.

He took part in a tag match with Chris Wyld as his partner against Phil Powers and Ricky Hype.

Promoter Sanjay Bagga said: "The evening went really well - there were around 330 people there so it was completely packed.

"The Dominator was incredibly popular with the audience - when he walked out they gave him a standing ovation. The entire audience was behind the local boy...it was amazing to see something like that.

"A lot of people came up to us to say thanks for bringing British wrestling back to the area - so much so that we are going to do it again on Friday November 14.

"We had massive feedback - it was a really big success. I expected it to do well but I wasn't sure just how well. It was interesting to see such a reaction from the audience. The older generation came down to support us but there were young children there as well...a really big mix."
