Donate your old TV to Hospice

IF YOU are upgrading your television for Christmas don't throw away your old one, donate it to St Michael's Hospice who will turn it into much-needed funds.

That's the appeal this week from the hospice, which is also looking for fridges and cookery in good working order.

St Michael's Hospice fundraisers have a spacious warehouse on the Ponswood Industrial Estate in St Leonard's in order to service its eight Hospice shops. Because of this it now has space to store more large items.

Perdita Chamberlain, head of fund-raising said: "In this economic climate, secondhand 'white' goods - televisions and cookers - will be more in demand.

"We can sell them at good prices to local people while helping the Hospice raise much-needed money."

If anyone who can help is asked to call hospice trading manager Chris Jones, on 01424 717202.
