The Time 2 Give Ball has chosen its ten beneficiary charities which will be supported on the night and throughout 2017 with volunteers.

In a change to normal gala dinners and auction events the Time 2 Give ball asks its guests to bid for prizes with their time rather than with their money. The hours collected on the evening are then distributed out to all of the charities who have applied for volunteer support.

The ten charities which will be supported by this years’ event are: Brighton City Partnership for Education, Carousel, Carers Centre, Fareshare, Headway East Sussex, Mindout, Ronald McDonald House, Rhythmix, Survivors’ Network and the Stroke Association.

Time 2 Give is the brainchild of local businesswoman Gail Bainbridge, of accountancy firm Bainbridge and Lewis.

She said: “As a local business owner myself I’ve always found it really important for me to give back to the local community.

“I came up with the idea for Time 2 Give to help build connections between small businesses and local charity and community projects.

“Time is the new money.”

The Time 2 Give ball takes place on Thursday, April 6 at The Grand Hotel in Brighton.

The time auction will be hosted by Guy Lloyd and Sophie Corbett.
