Donation to football club to help improve clubhouse


The force has donated £500 to Steyning Town Community Football Club which will help make safety improvements at its clubhouse including fire alarm systems and improved security.
The Barrowmen have just completed work on a new £450k state-of-the-art 3G surface at The Shooting Field.

Hide AdRichard Woodbridge, club chairman, said: “We are very grateful for this donation. The clubhouse will be used by many local people in the community and we needed to make improvements.
“Our new superb 3G pitch now has a refurbished clubhouse to go with it.”
The donation has come from the Police Property Act Fund (PPAF), made up of monies received by the police from property confiscated by order of the court and then sold.
Inspector Dave Shepard said: “Steyning Town is a community focused club and we are happy to make this small donation to support them following the improvements they have made to their clubhouse and pitch.”
